New Farm to Market Road in Progress in Pamplona, Camarines Sur

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the completion of a farm to market road (FMR) to facilitate faster transport of farm produce in the Municipality of Pamplona, Camarines Sur.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Camarines Second District Engineer Ruben S. Santos, Jr. said that the ongoing concreting of a 1-lane kilometer road in Barangay Patong is set for completion this February 2021.

The Barangay Patong FMR Project, with a total allocation of P12 Million is one (1) of the projects undertaken by DPWH Camarines Sur DEO with funding under the Department of Agriculture.

“This project will not just improve the transport of farm products to market centers but also further stimulate other economic activities and improve access to social services of the people in the province of Camarines Sur,” said Secretary Villar.

In CY 2020, the DPWH Camarines Sur DEO implemented a total of 126 infrastructure projects, 54 of which were completed.
