Construction of a farm-to-market road (FMR) in Barangay Dulian, Zamboanga City by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now at 50 percent complete.
“Upon completion, the FMR will provide easy access to agricultural goods and basic services to the residents of Barangay Dulian”, said Secretary Mark Villar
According to a report from DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia, the project involves concreting of a 740 lineal meter road with 5-meter width, implemented by Zamboanga District Engineering Office.
Since Barangay Dulian is situated on a hilly and mountainous area, the FMR should provide a safer and more efficient transport of goods to and from the market.
With an allocation of P11.8 million, the project is expected to be completed on March 2021.
