According to Secretary Villar, the makeshift hospitals is based on the design standard prepared by the DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local and National Health Facilities.
To provide comfort to the patients, all rooms are fully-airconditioned with private comfort rooms.
“These facilities in Pasay were constructed for mild to asymptomatic COVID-19 patients who have to be isolated outside their homes to prevent further spread of the virus,” said Secretary Villar.
By the third week of November 20202, DPWH South Manila District Engineering Office also aims to finish the ongoing conversion of container vans into a 72-bed capacity quarantine facility inside Villamor Air Base.
