Students, faculty and staff of the Iligan City National School of Fisheries (ICNSOF) in Brgy. Buru-un, this city will now have an easier time in going to school with the concreting of their entrance road which used to be a dirt road riddled with mudholes and boulder stones.

Students now also have a more conducive learning environment inside the newly completed 2-storey Laboratory Workshop Building.

The 2 projects are part of the continuing implementation of infrastructure projects by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Lanao del Norte 2nd District Engineering Office.

In the turn-over ceremony held on August 23, the school administration, faculty and students expressed their gratitude for the recently completed projects in their campus. “We are very grateful for these 2 infra projects given to our school. The teachers, parents and most especially the students will surely benefit from these vital infrastructures”, expressed School Principal Ronillo Apas Sr.

The two school projects were completed through the initiative of Congressman Frederick Siao in partnership with the Department of Education and DPWH-LN2 DEO.

For his part, DPWH District Engineer Alykhan Ali was pleased to note that the 2 school projects were completed on time and within the allotted budget.

“The speedy completion of these projects is a testament of DPWH’s commitment to help improve the facilities in our public schools which are essential to the positive learning experience of our students”, said Engr. Ali.

Other newly completed projects of DPWH-Lanao del Norte District 2 Engineering Office include the road concreting at Purok 1, Brgy. Upper Tominobo, and road concreting at Erlinda Ville Entrance, Brgy. Del Carmen, both this city.
