The DPWH-Ilocos Norte 1st District Engineering Office led by District Engineer Maria Venus S. Torio and Head Teacher of Lagui-Sail Elementary School Delfin R. Sabug had officially breaks the ground for the Construction of 1 Storey 2 Classroom, Lagui-Sail Elementary School, Laoag City on September 19, 2019. This joint project of the DPWH and DEPED is funded under the CY 2019 BEFF Batch 1 amounting to P3,797,075.37.
DE Torio said that the project will not be completely functional however additional buffer fund of 1.1 million was already requested. “We are thankful that there is a good partnership between DPWH and DEPED”, said Delfin Sabug, Head Teacher of Lagui-Sail Elementary School.
The event was also attended by Brgy. Officials, DEPED Representatives and the Project Engineer and Architect of DPWH-INFDEO. The construction of quality and safe classroom promotes improved learning environment for young learners.
