The DPWH Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office (NSSDEO) ranks second overall among the thirteen (13) district engineering offices in Region VIII or Samar-Leyte Area in the star rating for the month of April 2019.
This was learned from District Engineer Ferdinand Briones during his monthly regular meeting with the NSSDEO employees last June 3, 2017 at the DEO Function Hall. Citing data from his recent attendance at the regional coordination meeting in Tacloban City, DE Briones said the NSSDEO specifically ranks first or number one in the Planning and Design Division (PDD), Construction Division, Finance Division and Quality Assurance Division (QAD) categories plus upgraded from one to two star in materials testing laboratory.
On the other hand it ranks second in the Maintenance Division Category and Administrative Division categories. Having achieved this star rating, DE Briones commended the employees of the district office for the job-well done and exemplifying ideal and standard in public service.
Initiated by Director Nerie Bueno when she assumed the top management of DPWH Regional Office No. VIII, the star rating mechanism is a measurement tool which tabulate the number of DEO submitted reports and its on time compliance and submission to the regional office.
