The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will continue its reblocking and repair of various major roads in Metro Manila this weekend starting 11 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2019 until 5 a.m. Monday July 29, 2019.
DPWH-NCR Director Ador G. Canlas said that road works at Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) covering southbound direction from Roosevelt Avenue to Bansalangin Street, 2nd lane from sidewalk; from Magallanes-Baclaran Bus Stop going to Magallanes-Alabang Bus Stop, outer lane; and from Eugenio Lopez Drive to Scout Borromeo (desilting and construction of manhole); and at the northbound direction from before New York Street, 1st lane from sidewalk.
Road works will likewise be undertaken at the northbound direction of Circumferential Road 5 (C5), from C.P. Garcia approach to Kalayaan Avenue Extension.
Other roads to undergo repair works include Regalado Avenue, from Mindanao Avenue Extension to Quirino Highway, 3rd lane from sidewalk, northbound; J. Fajardo Street, from Matimyas to Quintos Street, northbound; Katipunan Avenue, after Quirino Memorial Medical Center, 2nd lane from sidewalk, southbound; Quirino Highway, from Junji Street to near Teresa Heights, inner lane, eastbound; General Luis Street, from Oriental Tin to Pascual Road, eastbound; and Elliptical Road, before Commonwealth Avenue, 7th lane from sidewalk, outer lane, eastbound.
Due to expected impact to vehicular traffic, motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes.
