Road sections of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), Circumferential Road 5 (C-5), Mindanao Avenue, Quirino Highway, and Katipunan Avenue will undergo road repair and reblocking this weekend starting 11 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2019.
Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas identified the following roads for repair in the southbound lane of EDSA: from Guzent Construction Equipment Sales and Rental to Culiat Bridge in Quezon City, 2nd lane from sidewalk; from Eugenio Lopez Drive to Scout Borromeo in Quezon City; and from Magallanes-Baclaran Bus Stop to Magallanes-Alabang Bus Stop in Makati City, outer lane.
In the northbound lane of EDSA, road works will be undertaken after Aurora Boulevard, at the first and second lane from sidewalk.
Reblocking works will also be carried out in the following parts of Quezon City: on the southbound lane of Katipunan Avenue before P. Tuazon, 2nd lane from sidewalk; on the westbound direction of Quirino Highway, from Kingfisher St. to Primerose St., 2nd lane from sidewalk; and on the northbound lane of Regalado Avenue, from extension to Quirino Highway, 2nd lane from sidewalk.
In Makati City, repair works will similarly cover the following segment of C5 Road fronting SM Aura: on the southbound lane, 2nd lane; and on the northbound lane, 3rd lane from median.
Motorists are advised to traffic slowdown in the affected areas and to use possible alternate routes.
