DPWH Region 3 braces for Super Typhoon “Ompong”

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region III Director Roseller A. Tolentino mobilized the DPWH maintenance team in Central Luzon, following Secretary Villar’s directive to conduct preparatory disaster activities for the impending Super Typhoon “Ompong.”

Director Tolentino ordered Regional Maintenance Engineer Irma Talens and his other 14 district engineering offices to deploy the region’s Disaster Response Team to mitigate possible damages on various structures brought by the typhoon.

The region’s Disaster Response Teams are on full-heightened alert and fully equipped with the necessary manpower networks, and communication and safety gears to ensure that all infrastructure are safely guarded and the structural stability of the bridges are tracked and maintained.

“We assure our people that Region 3 is equipped with the necessary equipment and qualified manpower resources to respond accordingly,” Director Tolentino said.

They are ready for face the impending entry of the strong typhoon and ensures quick response in case of any eventuality.
