Tourists and beach-goers experienced a smoother and better travel time from the national road to various resorts in Lemery, Batangas this summer season due to an improved access road.
The Php 18.4 million road improvement project in Brgy. Nonong Casto, Lemery, Batangas was implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways – Batangas I District Engineering Office in cooperation with the Department of Tourism and the Batangas Province LGU.
Before the improvement, buses and other huge vehicles were having a hard time reaching the resorts due to heavy traffic caused by rugged pavement and narrow road width. Upon project completion, residents of the barangay were grateful. Resort owners likewise were pleased of the improved road and they were hearing positive reactions from customers. More than a kilometer of road was repaired and widened into two lanes through this project.
