The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake road reblocking of four (4) major roads in Quezon City and one (1) in Manila with approved clearance given by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
According to DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Melvin B. Navarro, road repair will be carried out from 11 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 until 5 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 on the southbound direction of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) from in front of Francesca Tower to after Scout Borromeo, 3rd lane from the center island; and at the northbound direction before North Avenue, 6th lane from the center island.
Other roads to undergo in the weekend repair schedule include the northbound directions of A. H. Lacson Avenue, from corner Aragon Street and corner P. Florentino Street; Fairview Avenue, from Mindanao Avenue Extension to Jordan Plains Subdivision, 3rd lane; Batasan Road, from before Payatas Road, 2nd lane; and Katipunan Avenue, between Capitol Hills Drive, Ayala Heights Village, 1st lane.
Motorists are advised to use possible alternate routes due to traffic slowdown in the affected areas, while construction is on-going.
