DPWH Sec. Villar inspects ongoing Batangas, Cavite road projects

With the influx of tourists in the provinces of Batangas and Cavite, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar visited two (2) ongoing road projects on the said provinces on April 19, 2018.

Villar conducted his road inspection on the ongoing 8.667 kilometer Tagaytay Bypass Road under Cavite II District Engineering Office (DEO) with an estimated budget of P1.7B. The said bypass road intends to decongest traffic snarls in the area.

According to Villar, the said diversion road project is expected to be completed by year 2020 with the assertion that it meets quality standard.

Moreover, DPWH Chief also conducted site visitation in Batangas with the ongoing construction of P86M Diokno Highway Bridge under the supervision of the Regional Office. The cited project aims to provide a safe roadway and shorten travel time from Tagaytay to Lemery area and vice versa.

With these game-changing projects, Villar extended his appreciation to Region IV-A for enhancing and developing road constructions that continuously brought progress to CALABARZON Region along with its compliance to the Build, Build, Build program of the administration.

Undersecretary for Regional Operations in Luzon (Usec) Dimas S. Soguilon, Assistant Secretary (Asec) Eugenio R. Pipo, Jr. and Regional Director (RD) Samson L. Hebra accompanied the Secretary during the said inspection.
