DPWH repairs 11 roads in QC, Pasig, Caloocan

Eleven road sections in Metro Manila will undergo replacement of damaged concrete pavement to improve surface quality and increase the efficiency of road transportation.

Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (NCR) Director Melvin B. Navarro said that motorists are advised to avoid some areas in Quezon City, Pasig City, and Caloocan City and use alternate routes because of scheduled reblocking and repairs starting 11 in the evening of Friday, September 1, 2017.

Repair works will be undertaken in the following roads in Quezon City: second lane, southbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue from Dome Street to Sgt. Rivera; second lane, southbound direction of Mindanao Avenue after Tandang Sora fronting Shell; third lane, southbound direction of EDSA from Kaingin Road to Dario Bridge; truck lane, southbound direction of E. Rodriguez Avenue after Greenmeadows Avenue and after Boni Serrano Avenue; northbound direction of C.P. Garcia Avenue near E. Jacinto Street and between Velasquez and Alley; northbound direction of V. Luna Road from East Avenue to Kalayaan Avenue; and second lane, northbound direction of Quirino Highway corner La Mesa Dam Road.

The southbound direction of C-5 Road near Julia Vargas and northbound direction of Manila East Road in front of SM East Ortigas will be cover by the road repair activities in Pasig City.

Also included in the weekend road repair is a portion of the MacArthur Highway's northbound direction near Monumento Circle in Caloocan City.

The repairs will be completed and fully passable at 5 in the morning on Monday, September 4, 2017.
