Motorists are advised that the Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) is set to resume repair and re-blocking activities in major roads in the cities of Quezon, Pasig, and Caloocan starting Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1AM.
DPWH-NCR Director Melvin Navarro reported that affected roads in Quezon City include the second lane, southbound direction of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) near Times Street; second lane of Quirino Highway from Mindanao Ave. to San Sebastian Street; 3rd lane westbound of Congressional Ave. from Luzon to Tandang Sora; northbound direction of Mindanao Tunnel in Mindanao Avenue; and southbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue from Mauban Street to Binhagan Street.
Road works will also be undertaken at the northbound direction of C-5 in Pasig City, near Julia Vargas to Lanuza Avenue and Mac Arthur Highway near Monumento Circle in Caloocan.
Due to expected traffic slowdown in the affected areas, motorists are requested to take possible alternate routes.
Director Navarro said that DPWH-NCR will strictly observe concrete re-blocking using one (1) day concrete mix to re-open affected lanes at 5AM on Monday, July 10, 2017.
