DPWH Completes 3-Storey CES Board Resource Building

The Career Executive Service Board (CESB) has a new Resource Center Building that can accommodate more examinees and assessment personnel.

Department of Public Works and Highways National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Melvin B. Navarro said that P21 million was spent to implement the 3-storey building project located at No. 3 Marcelino Street., Holy Spirit Drive, Diliman, Quezon City.

The project aims help to save rental cost for the holding of examinations for managerial career positions in government service.

Regional Evacuation Centers to rise in Panay Island

A total of P216 million is allocated by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office VI for the construction of six (6) regional evacuation centers in various areas in Panay Island, each with the appropriation of P36.0 million.

According to Engr. Oliver E. Zamora, chief of the Maintenance Division, two of these centers are on-going, one in San Jose, Antique and the other one in Roxas City, Capiz.
Zamora added that the remaining four centers are proposed to be constructed in Kalibo, Aklan; Libertad, Antique; Carles, Iloilo; and Zarraga, Iloilo.

This was reiterated by Department of Public Works and Highways National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro, during a clearing operation on Friday along Road Radial 10 (R-10) in Manila.

Director Navarro said DPWH, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Philippine National Police (PNP), and the city government of Manila joined forces to clear road obstructions at the northbound of R-10 from Zaragoza to boundary of Manila and Navotas.

We are One for Marawi - DPWH

The Department of Public Works and Highways, together with its District Engineering Offices, teamed up with other line agencies in pursuit of available resources that would aid in providing the needs of the evacuees of the Marawi crisis.

Evacuation centers in the municipalities of Pantar, Balo-i, and Brgy. Sta. Elena, Iligan City were inspected where the concerns of the evacuees and the necessities of the area were catered and considered for immediate action.

DPWH Builds 3 School Buildings in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan

A total of three (3) two-storey school buildings have been turned over to students of Sanchez Mira School of Arts and Trades (SMSAT) in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Region 2 Director Melanio C. Briosos said the project was implemented by the DPWH Cagayan Second District Engineering Office to accommodate the influx of students at SMSAT.
