Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that two (2) on going contract packages for the design and build of Marawi Transcentral Roads will be completed by February 2021.

Despite a challenging 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic, we are looking at the new year 2021 with the completion of our projects in Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur, said Secretary Villar.

Secretary Villar said that the 99 percent complete contract package 2 covers the rehabilitation and improvement of MSU-GMA Road and Lumindong-Amaipakpak Avenue.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a new healthcare facility in Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur.

DPWH Secretary and Chief Isolation Czar Mark A. Villar said that the Sagonsongan Multi Purpose Building situated at Barangay Sagonsongan Relocation Site, Marawi City has been temporarily transformed into quarantine quarters for Covid-19 cases.

It has a 40-bed capacity and will cater to individuals tested positive for Covid-19 but classified as asymptomatic to mild cases, added Secretary Villar.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has participated in the Senate inquiry, in aid of legislation, on the implementation of Republic Act No. 11054 or Bangsamoro Organic Law with the end view of ensuring that the provisions of the law are satisfied and implemented.

In an effort to come up with a more systematic approach in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) conducts a symposium with DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar as keynote speaker in an event held April 6, 2018 at the City Garden Suites, Ermita, Manila.
