Expansion in Valenzuela state university building currently in the works

Construction of additional floors by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the College of Education and Science building of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (PLV) Main Campus in Maysan, Valenzuela City is in full swing with the set completion by December 2019.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, Metro Manila Third District Engineer Casiano P. De Guzman said that the construction of four (4) additional floors will address the university’s problem on classroom shortage.

Drainage improvement in Paco, Manila completed

The construction of a 220 lineal meter drainage system along A. Isip St., Paco, Manila that will address safety and health conditions of its residents has been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH National Capital Region (NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas said that the improvement in the drainage system will mitigate flooding in the area, and avoid virus-caused illnesses, particularly dengue.

The construction of a 220 lineal meter drainage system along A. Isip St., Paco, Manila that will address safety and health conditions of its residents has been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Villar: Cavite Laguna Expressway Segment to open October

Binan, Laguna - Eyeing to open the first 10km segment of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) this October, Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar with the DPWH Technical Team, along with Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation subsidiary MP CALA Holdings, Inc executives inspect the construction development of the alignment starting from the Mamplasan Toll Barrier unto Silang East, Cavite interchange.

Kennon Road, 10 other roads still closed due to Ompong

As of 12 noon, Friday, September 21, 2018, a total of 11 road sections in Luzon remain impassable to all types of vehicles due to landslide, collapsed road, damaged bridge, and flooding.

The Department of Public Works and Highways Bureau of Maintenance identified nine (9) closed roads in Cordillera Administrative Region and two (2) in Central Luzon namely:

BENGUET
1) Kennon Road

2) Baguio –Bontoc Road
a. K0362+680-K0362+780, Busa Section
b. K0371+400, Tiging Section, Sabangan
