The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the construction of the scenic Tagbuyawan-Mainit Access Road that is expected to yield employment and business opportunities in Mainit, Surigao del Norte.
Citing a report from DPWH Region 13 Director Pol M. Delos Santos, Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the project involves concreting of 3.3 kilometer road with provision of drainage and slope protection structures.
With 47.55 percent completion rate as of May 2021, the Department of Public Works and Highways is currently fast-tracking the building process of a P40-million flood control structure in Barangay Punta in the coastal town or Aparri, Cagayan to make it in time for the rainy season.
Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the DPWH Cagayan 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) is undertaking the construction of the flood control project which has received funding from fiscal years 2020 and 2021 under the Multi-Year Contractual Authority (MYCA).

“As promised, Kalayaan Avenue, Makati City leading to Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City will be connected to Pasig City/Mandaluyong City by the Sta. Monica-Lawton Bridge on the historic day our nation commemorates the 123rd Independence Day”, said Secretary Villar.
