DPWH wins street dance competition in Iloilo

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Iloilo 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) aced the street dance competition held during the Barotac Viejo Patronal Town Fiesta celebration in Iloilo.

Under the leadership of OIC-District Engineer Flordelis C. Enriquez and OIC-Assistant District Engineer Renato H. Cogollo, the employees graced the opening parade of the town fiesta wearing their orange maintenance uniform.

They entertained the crowds and the motorists with their graceful choreography notwithstanding the scorching heat of the sun.

After the street dancing, the employees changed their costume for the final presentation and impressed the audience and judges with their festive theme, graceful acts and dance routines bagging them the championship as well as the Best in Street Dance Award.

The time, effort and sunburn of the dancers were all paid off not just by the certificate, trophy and cash prize but by the happiness everyone experienced in the performance and the heartwarming moral support of the DPWH Iloilo 3rd DEO management and staff.

The Inter-Agency Dance Showdown was participated by six (6) other agencies including the local government unit (LGU), public schools and private organizations.
