DPWH Seeks Concurrence of City of Manila Before the Start of Anda Circle Removal

The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region has sought the concurrence of the City of Manila and the National Historical Commission before it proceeds for the removal of the rotunda along Bonifacio Drive.

In a letter to Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada, DPWH NCR Regional Director Reynaldo Tagudando requested for the concurrence of the City Government of Manila before proceeding with project implementation including the relocation of Anda monument inside the rotunda located along Bonifacio Drive to Maestranza Park in Intramuros, Manila.

Singson Leads Oathtaking Program for DPWH Project Managers

Secretary Rogelio L. Singson, in administering the oath of office of some 30 individuals appointed to the position of PM-1, PM-2, and PM-3, challenged them to perform their sworn duties and responsibilities as public servants with particular emphasis on accountability for their actions.

DPWH Works on New Kalibo Bridge Project Seen to Support Tourism in Aklan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is constructing a new bridge in Kalibo, Aklan that will support the national government program of providing good quality infrastructure that will further give boost to the promotion of trade and tourism.

DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson said that works are in progress for the P240 Million Kalibo Bridge 2 along Aklan East Road targeted to be completed in June 2015.

Travel Advisory Along MNR, Ilocos Norte

Please be informed that effective 12:01 AM, Monday, September 8, 2014, the TABUG DETOUR ROAD and the NAGBIBINGKAAN BAILEY BRIDGE , both along Manila North Road (MNR) in Batac City, Ilocos Norte, are now open to traffic for all types of vehicles following the two (2) days (September 6-7, 2014) repair and strengthening works of the Ilocos Norte 2nd District Engineering Office.

DPWH Rehabilitates Regalado Bridge in Quezon City

The on-going rehabilitation/reconstruction/strengthening of Regalado North Bridge along Regalado North Avenue, Quezon City has an allocation of ₱27,708,000.00 and is being implemented by DPWH-NCR Quezon City I District Engineering Office (QCFDEO).

This bridge has manifested signs of wear and tear, thus its rehabilitation/reconstruction/strengthening is very timely and a part of the agency’s effort to prevent or mitigate disaster. Its completion will benefit the people living and working in the northern part of Quezon City and the motorists coming from Caloocan City and Bulacan

Green Building at Barangay U.P. Campus

A 3-storey Multi-Purpose Building, also known as the “Green Building” at Brgy. UP Campus was recently completed. The so called “green building” adopted design construction and management methods that are environmentally and socially responsible, safe and healthy.

With an allocation of ₱3.5 Million, this 3-storey multi-purpose building with deck including site development was implemented by the Quezon City Second District Engineering Office (QCSDEO) of the DPWH-NCR under contract by R.A. Moya Construction Corporation.

Libas Bridge Project

District Engineer Lino Francisco C. Gonzalez of DPWH Leyte 4th District Engineering Office witnessed the on-going pile driving activity of the project Construction of Libas Bridge along Ormoc-Merida-Isabel-Palompon Road. The bridge is the only way to reach vise versa to Ormoc and to other neighboring towns. Replacement of a new bridge was prioritized for the safety of the travelling public. Almost 1500 average daily traffic will benefit the new bridge structure.
