Low-lying areas in Southern Leyte will be protected from overflowing of rivers as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) implements a host of flood control projects amounting to P458.65 million this year.

The multi-million projects include the construction of embankments along riverbanks and coastlines considered as flood-prone areas in Southern Leyte.

Investment climate looks promising with more vital projects to be undertaken by the government in the Philippine’s Golden Age of Infrastructure.
