Dpwh undergo disaster assessment course

Personnel of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) undergo special training on Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) in an effort to strengthen Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Program.

DPWH Region 1 OIC-Director Ronnel M. Tan said that a total of 30 maintenance engineers and employees from the regional and district engineering offices in Ilocos Region attended the training course by the Office of the Civil Defense held in Bauang, La Union that aims to teach the know-how of assessing post-disaster impacts.

DPWH completes construction of 36 school buildings in Isabela

Thousands of students in seven (7) towns of the province of Isabela can now utilize the 36 new school buildings constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Composed of 14 single-storey, 11 two-storey, five (5) three-storey, and six (6) four-storey buildings, these projects were implemented to accommodate the growing number of enrollees in the towns of Angadanan, Alicia, Cabatuan, Luna, Reina Mercedes, San Guillermo, and San Mateo.
