2018 Procurement Monitoring Report (PMR) for Civil Works Isabela City DEO 1st Semester
VILLAR: CALAX on track for completion on 2020
Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar personally check the progress of works on the ongoing Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAx) Project.
During the inspection, Secretary Villar said the construction and acquisition of road right-of-way (ROW) for CALAx are being fast tracked to complete the project within the planned 2020 deadline.

Phase III of Pasig Marikina River Channel Improvement completed
Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, together with Japanese Ambassador Koji Haneda, inspected the on-going improvement project of the Pasig-Marikina River Channel.
The Pasig-Marikina River Channel Improvement Project (PMRCIP) will mitigate the frequent inundation or massive flooding caused by the overflowing of Pasig-Marikina River resulting in severe damages to lives, properties and infrastructure in Metro Manila.
₱438M by-pass roads underway in northern Iloilo
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently implementing the construction of three by-pass roads in Passi City and the towns of Zarraga and Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo amounting to ₱438.881 million.
According to Regional Director Wenceslao M. Leaño, Jr., the construction of ₱229.183-million Passi By-Pass Road is implemented in two phases: Phase 1 involves the construction of 6 spans, 30-mm Pre-Stressed Concrete Type IV-B Girder Bridge on Bored Pile Foundation including approaches and slope protection amounting to ₱125.584 million.

DPWH hastens anti-rockslide project in Southern Leyte
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) commenced the second phase of the protection works against rockslides in San Ricardo, Southern Leyte.
According to DPWH Southern Leyte District Engineer Ma.
