16.4-Kilometer Sultan Kudarat Road Almost Complete

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is currently undertaking final finishing works for the 16.4-kilometer Koronadal-Lutayan-Columbio-Matanao Road in Sultan Kudarat which is already 99.06 percent completed.

Secretary Mark A. Villar, based on a report by Regional Director Basir M. Ibrahim of the project’s implementing office DPWH Regional Office 12, said that the road network extends from the town of Lutayan to the town of Columbio.

Additional COVID-19 quarantine facilities completed in Surigao del Norte

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has turned-over two (2) more quarantine facilities with 50-bed capacity to Surigao City, Surigao del Norte as part of the battle to flatten the curve against COVID-19.

“Even if the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out has commenced, quarantine facilities are still necessary until we have attained the target for vaccination and reduced the number of infected people to a safe level”, said Secretary Mark A. Villar.

“Even if the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out has commenced, quarantine facilities are still necessary until we have attained the target for vaccination and reduced the number of infected people to a safe level”, said Secretary Mark A. Villar.

P1.1-B Road Linking Mindanao Provinces Set for 2021 Completion

A road project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) linking the provinces of Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, and Davao del Sur is slated to be completed this year.

DPWH Gears Up Construction of Panguil Bay Bridge Sub-Structure

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is gearing up to start the sub-structure works of the 3.169 kilometer Panguil Bay Bridge Project with sets of construction equipment requirements deployed on-site.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that although restriction on the movement of people and goods because of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the bridge construction, the contractor can now go full blast with the delivery of equipment and materials to be used for its foundation works.

DPWH to Partially Open Bridge Connecting BGC-Ortigas in May

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) targets to partially open this May 2021 the Sta. Monica-Lawton Bridge which is a major component of the BGC-Ortigas Road Link Project.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the Sta Monica-Lawton Bridge, the superstructure that will connect across Pasig River the Lawton Avenue in Makati City and Sta. Monica Street in Pasig City, is already finished.
