DPWH completes P664.7-M new Bohol Capitol Building

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said a new Bohol Capitol Building has been recently completed to replace the condemned old Capitol Building that was damaged by the devastating 2013 Bohol quake.

“We are glad to announce that a bigger and quake-resilient 4-storey provincial building can now be utilized by Bohol local government officials and staff in delivering public service to Boholanons,” said Secretary Villar.

DPWH upgrades highway in Isabela capital

With the aim to improve mobility of vehicles and delivery of basic social services, the Department of Public Works and Highways – Isabela First District Engineering Office (DPWH-IFDEO) has paved road shoulders along Junction National-Sta. Victoria Road in the City of Ilagan, Isabela.

The concreted shoulders spans a length of 1,850 meters with both sides measuring 3 meters in width and 280 millimeters in thickness.

34 Rain Water Collector Systems installed in Quirino schools

A total of 34 Rain Water Collector Systems (RWCS) amounting to P3.4 million pesos were installed in the different schools in the Province of Quirino.

The Department of Public Works and Highways-Quirino District Engineering Office (DPWH-QDEO) implemented the said project that benefitted 12 elementary schools and three secondary shools within the province.

District Engineer Marifel T. Andes said that the RWCS is an innovative way to maximize use of rainwater for sanitation purposes in the recipient schools.

DPWH builds P47-M Flood Control in Cagayan

The Department of Public Works and Highways through the Cagayan Third District Engineering Office (DPWH-CTDEO) has completed the contsruction of flood control system along Pinacanuan River in Bagumbayan, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

According to District Engineer Danilo U. Tabilas, the riverbank in the said section needed protection so they allocated funding for the construction of a river control system which spans a length of 271.60 lineal meters.

DPWH-2 jumpstarts 2019 infra program

The Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office 02 led by Regional Director Melanio C. Briosos and Assistant Regional Director Alexander D. Nola held a coordination meeting on January 14, 2019 at DPWH Region 02 Conference Hall, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The meeting was attended by the Regional Staff, Technical and Financial Division Chiefs together with the Contractors, Project and Material Engineers.

DPWH improves road sections in Quirino

As part of the preventive maintenance to preserve road condition, the Department of Public Works and Highways – Quirino District Engineering Office (DPWH-QDEO) completed two asphalt overlay projects recently.

The first project is located along Junction Managdingay-Saguday-Isabela Boundary Road and has length of 2.27 kilometers, while the next one is located along Cordon-Maddela-Aurora Boundary Road and measures to 3.93 kilometers. The projects cost P78,000,000 million pesos and P69,713,000 million pesos.
