DPWH-NCR completes P9.3-M road and drainage system

People living along Maya Creek in Barangay Rizal, Makati City will no longer have to bear with high level of flood water with the newly-completed road and drainage project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Flooding always occur in the vicinity of Maya Creek during rainy season since the area has a lower elevation compared to the other adjacent barangays in the area.

DPWH-NCR completes 4-Storey School Building in QC

Students of D. Tuazon Elementary School can now occupy the 4-storey elementary school building completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Quezon City First District Engineering Office (QCIDEO).

The P18.717-million worth school building is composed of 32 classrooms and is funded by the Department of Education (DepEd) under its Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF).

DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas said that the project will address classroom shortage in preparation for the opening of School Year 2018-2019 this June.

A spillway bridge project was recently constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to help motorists and locals cross a river in Barangay Himakilo, Bontoc, Southern Leyte.

In a report to DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, DPWH Southern Leyte District Engineer Ma. Margarita Junia said that the spillway bridge was built in the amount of P1.9 million to keep floodwater under control when local drainage systems can no longer contain the water volume.

A new three-storey, quake and typhoon-resilient school building was recently completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to address classroom shortage in Pintuyan town, Southern Leyte Province.

New Basilan Government Center Building completed

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the P234 million government building project for the Province of Basilan in Western Mindanao.

According to Secretary Mark Villar, the new government center is a 24-meter by 48-meter building constructed inside a developed 10-hectare lot in Barangay Sta. Clara, Lamitan City.

“Through the efforts of our DPWH-9 headed by Regional Director Cayamombao D. Dia, a new Basilan Government Center opens to improve provision of service to the province’s constituents,” said Secretary Villar.
