Construction of a new resilient bridge across scenic Loboc River is now one step to reality.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar with Cabinet Secretary Leoncio B. Evasco Jr. and Congressman Arthur Yap led on Friday, March 16, 2018 the ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of new Clarin Bridge replacing the old Clarin Bridge in Loay, Bohol Province which was badly damaged by the October 2013 earthquake that hit the Central Visayas.

DPWH schedules repair of six major roads in cities of Quezon and Taguig

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will continue its reblocking activities and repair of roads in the cities of Quezon and Taguig starting 11PM Friday, March 16, 2018.

DPWH National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro said that with the use of one (1) day concrete mix, six (6) road lanes will be repaired but will be fully passable at 5AM Monday, March 19, 2018.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), following consultative meetings with affected stakeholders, will commence the construction of Roxas Bypass Road Project in Isabela province before the end of this quarter.

DPWH Region 2 Director Melanio C. Briosos said the project which will be a 4.95-kilometer alternative road to the busy Santiago-Tugeugarao Road, starting from Barangay San Antonio to Barangay Nuesa and traversing Barangays San Rafael, Facoma, and Bantug.

To spare residents and properties from the dangers of flood, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be constructing a retaining wall along Tinambacan River in Calbayog City, Samar.

In his report to Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH-Samar First District Engineering Office (DEO) Chief Alvin A. Ignacio said an P80-million flood control project measuring 634 lineal meters will be constructed this year to help decrease water levels rising in the low-lying areas of the city brought by overflowing of Tinambacan River.
