
The newly-concreted Purok Apostol-Tinago Road has brought comfort for residents of Barangay San Jose in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the the implementation of the two-lane road improvement project with a net length of 1.87 kilometer was recently completed by the DPWH South Cotabato 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO).
According to Secretary Villar, the upgraded road supports the local agri-processing activities in Barangay San Jose by allowing faster delivery of goods to market centers in Koronadal City, while promoting safety for both residents and motorists passing the area.
People of the barangay who thrive by selling their agricultural products and the consumers will benefit from the improvement of Purok Apostol-Tinago Road, said Secretary Villar.
The P29.4-million upgrading into concrete of the Purok Apostol-Tinago Road was funded under the DPWH Infrastructure Program for fiscal year 2020.
