We had it again!.
DPWH-CAR is recipient of Cordillera Regional Gawad KALASAG Awards 2018 for their service as Head of the Road Management Cluster in the Region and their exerted efforts providing immediate road clearing operations and rehabilitations before and during disasters or emergencies.
Their advocacy on proper engineering interventions through Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Projects helped uplift the region’s DRRM Standards.
The Plaque of Recognition was awarded by RICARDO B. JALAD, Administrator, Office of Civil Defense & Executive Director, National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and assisted by COMMO ALBERT A. MOGOL AFP (RET), Regional Director, OCD-CAR and Chairperson, Cordillera RDRRMC.
Engr. Nelia I. Antonio, Chief, Maintenance Division, accepted the award in behalf of Regional Director Tiburcio L. Canlas during the awarding ceremonies on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
In her Facebook post, Engr. Antonio dedicated the award "para sa mga bayani ng kalsada sa panahon ng sakuna - the men & women of DPWH-CAR".
