Another two (2) units of highway maintenance equipment and ten (10) units service vehicles are up for purchase and once approved by the Bureau of Equipment, it is seen help in ensuring efficiency in the supervision of infrastructure projects and effectiveness in office operations particularly in the implementation of frontline services, delivery of government services, and the performance of general administration functions.
“Undeniably, there is a need to augment and upgrade our existing fleet that our employees use in the daily operations. It is necessary considering that we have authority over three (3) cities and twelve (12) municipalities in the 3rd and 4th Legislative Districts of Nueva Ecija and has jurisdiction over 259.792-kilometer of national roads. The limited number of service vehicles affects the mobility of our field personnel in conducting site surveys, project inspections and monitoring, “DE Ricardo M. Puno said.
The limited number of service vehicles and heavy equipment caused delays in the prompt delivery of public services during calamities and emergencies.
