DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Region IV-A Director Jovel G. Mendoza, said that the construction of the diversion road provides an essential alternative route for motorists, particularly during times of calamity when existing roads become impassable due to flooding in low-lying areas.

Residents near the Alaminos River in San Jose, Alaminos City, Pangasinan, are now protected from the threats of flooding with the completion of a river structure project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
In an update to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan said that the completed flood control project, stretching 494.2-lineal meter, now promotes economic stability and enhances the overall living standards of the residents in Barangay San Jose.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) undertakes the paving of a muddy access road in Barangay San Isidro Bajo, Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental.
In a report submitted by DPWH Region 10 Director Lilibeth N. Aparecio to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, the ₱94.56-million project is aimed at linking rural areas to strategic public facilities.
Scope of works involve the concreting of a previously muddy road with a length of 8.6 lane kilometers into a two (2)-lane concrete road to improve access for farmers and other daily road users.
