DPWH builds new road connecting towns of Central Iloilo

A new road project that will connect the towns of Leon and Alimodian in the central part of Iloilo province is currently being undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The project, in the amount of P17.014 Million, involves opening of new 1.9-kilometer Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) from Brgy. Bobon in Leon to Brgy. Manasa in Alimodian.

Works include clearing and grubbing, cutting of trees, structural excavation, embankment, subgrade preparation, installation of pipe culverts and pouring of Portland Concrete Cement Pavement (PCCP).

DPWH opens P273.5-M bridge in Ilocos Sur

The 665-lineal meter bridge that is seen to support livelihood and tourism in the southern part Ilocos Sur has been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan said the P273 million Sugpon Bridge along Alilem-Sugpon-Sudipen Road in the municipality of Sugpon has already been opened to the motoring public in time for the Lenten Season.

DPWH undertakes repair works in Quezon City this Holy Week break

The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will remain busy during Lenten Break with scheduled road repairs and motorist assistance program dubbed as “Lakbay Alalay”.

DPWH National Capital Region Director Melvin B. Navarro said maintenance teams were deployed to monitor repair of three (3) road sections in Quezon City starting at 12:00 midnight on Thursday, March 29, 2018 until 5:00 am on Monday, April 2, 2018.
