Riverside communities in Barangay Balimbing, Boac, Marinduque are now guaranteed heightened protection to their homes and properties following the completion of a flood control structure undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In a report to Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Regional Office IV-B Director Gerald A. Pacanan said that the completion of the revetment wall is a crucial measure to mitigate widespread flooding that has been displacing families and affecting the livelihood activities in the area.
