Leadership of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has been formally transferred by Secretary Rogelio L. Singson to Acting Secretary Rafael C. Yabut.
In a simple turn-over ceremony held July 1, 2016, outgoing Secretary Singson formally handed over to Senior Undersecretary Rafael C. Yabut the official flag of the Department symbolizing reins of authority.
In his address to all officials and employees at today’s flag raising ceremony, Acting Secretary Yabut challenged the DPWH Team to join and follow President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s call for change by taking a lift from the President’s powerful address: “I have no friends to serve and I have no enemies to harm, we only have a common good and the people’s well being to collectively pursue”.
Yabut also lauded the contribution of Secretary Singson and the entire men and women of the Department, for all the accomplishments made in the past six (6) years.
