In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Regional Office 11 Director Juby B. Cordon said that the completion of the second phase of the project stretching three (3) kilometers aims to further improve accessibility and connectivity in Digos City and the municipality of Bansalan following the completion of the project’s initial phase in 2023.

“The Phase 2 of the road project in Barangay Goma, Digos City - Sitio Bagong Silang in Barangay Managa, Bansalan, Davao Del Sur is among the vital road components in the remote areas in Davao del Sur that primarily supports agri trading, focused on enhancing livelihood activities, further contributing to the overall economic growth and development in the region,” added Director Cordon.

The two (2)-lane road project also covers the construction of a reinforced concrete pipe culvert and grouted riprap line canal to maintain proper water flow and ensure the safety and resiliency of the road structure against severe weather conditions.
