
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now halfway complete on its rehabilitation and improvement works at The Mansion House, the official residence of the President and a popular tourist spot in the Summer Capital – Baguio City.
DPWH-Cordillera Administrative Region Director Khadaffy D. Tanggol, in a progress report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the ongoing repair of the Conference Hall, as well as construction of Technical Inspection Center inside the vicinity is currently being implemented in the amount of P99.44 million.
According to Director Tanggol, upon the completion of the project, The Mansion will have a new Presidential Museum, featuring seven galleries of the country’s past presidents.
“Right now, the project is 51 percent completed. This upgrade which aims to preserve the historical heritage and architecture of The Museum, will be completed by May 2025,” said Director Tanggol.
