
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is constructing a building facility aimed to cater and promote the creation of new micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Marikina City.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH National Capital Region Director Loreta M. Malaluan, said that the DPWH Metro Manila 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) is implementing the National Cottage Industries Development Authority (NACIDA) Incubator Facility which is being constructed in Barangay Concepcion Dos.
The Marikina City NACIDA Incubator Facility Project has received a total allocation of P400 million since 2022, and has an overall accomplishment rate of 70 percent to date.
When completed, the 5-storey NACIDA building with total floor area of 6,500 square meters will have designated spaces for government one-stop-shop area, showrooms, restaurants, conference rooms, and a laboratory room allowing the citizens to have a place to improve their ideas and innovative side.
The project is also designed as a green building facility with fully-air-conditioned rooms, elevator and well-ventilated areas, a safe environment with fire protection system and a modern design façade to give inspiration for innovators.
