Residents of various barangays in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur now experience better travel with the completion of four (4) road concreting projects by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The road concrete paving projects are in Barangay Bolong with 348 lineal meters; Sitio Zone VII, Barangay Victoria with 184.6 lineal meters; Calle Pook, Zone III-A, Barangay Mercedes with 428 lineal meters; and Zone II, Barangay Lumbangan with 300 lineal meters.
According to DPWH Region IX Director Cayamombao D. Dia, the improved road condition now provides better access to various establishments such as schools and health centers, and is expected to open more socio-economic activities around the city.
DPWH Zamboanga City District Engineering Office implemented the unreinforced portland cement concrete paving of the roads with a total amount of P20 million.
