The Department of Public Works and Highways will continue the road rehabilitation activities this weekend along EDSA, C-5, and other portions in Quezon City this weekend starting at 11 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2022.
Road reblocking will cover the four (4) sections of EDSA Northbound in Quezon City specifically at Santolan MRT Station, bus lane; after P. Tuazon flyover to Aurora Tunnel, 3rd lane from center island (fast lane); after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from center island (intermittent section); and after Kamuning Road and Kamias Road to JAC Liner Bus Station, beside center island in Quezon City.
In EDSA Southbound, the following lanes will undergo similar road repairs: in front of GMA Network Building, U-turn slot service road; Kamuning Road intersection, 3rd block service road; in front of Kamuning Police Station 10, 2nd block service road; and from Balingasa Creek to Oliveros Footbridge, all in Quezon City.
Other affected roads in Quezon City include: Fairview Avenue Southbound, near Mindanao Avenue Extension, 1st lane from center island; Cloverleaf (CHN.000 – CHN 258) going to NLEX Northbound; and Cloverleaf (CHN.000 – CHN 203) and (CHN.000 – CHN 234) going to NLEX Southbound.
In C-5 Road, road portion corner C.P. Garcia Avenue in Quezon City and southbound second lane in Makati City will be also closed for repair works.
Due to anticipated traffic slowdowns near construction areas, motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes until affected road sections are reopened to traffic by 5 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022.
