
Two (2) national road sections in Region 6 and Region 8 are currently closed to traffic while two (2) are one-lane passable due to flooding and landslide brought by Tropical Depression Lannie.
In a report as of 6:00 am Tuesday, October 5, 2021, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar said that impassable road was identified in Capiz, specifically at Sigma Mambusao Jamindan Road, K0099+100 - K0101+300, Brgy. Tumalalud & Brgy. Caidquid, Mambusao Town which is now flooded.
Another road closure was reported along Wright-Taft-Borongan Road (S00173SM) K0891+(-752) - K0902+000 in Eastern Samar due to landslide and rock fall. Motorists may from Tacloban bound to Borongan and Taft-Arteche via Wright-Taft Road may take alternate route via Jct.Buenavista-Lawaan-Marabut Road and vice versa.
Roads with limited access include the K0078+540 - K0078+620, RS, Jct.Tagbilaran East Road - Jagna-Sierra Bullones Road in Mayana, Jagna, Bohol due to road slip and K0017+000, Cebu-Toledo Wharf Road, in Brgy. Camp 4, Manipis, TalisayCity, Cebu due to soil erosion.
Secretary Villar ordered the reactivation of DPWH Quick Response Teams in Regions 4-B, 6, 7, 8, and 13 amid Tropical Depression Lannie. At least 3,080 personnel with 404 equipment are on-call to ensure access along national roads.
