
Various infrastructure projects were completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) - Iloilo Third District Engineering Office in Northern Iloilo.
No less than Senate President Franklin M. Drilon with Iloilo Governor Arthur D. Defensor, Sr. led the inauguration of the Reconstruction of Embarcadero Bridge in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo costing P48.448 Million.
The inauguration was also attended by Iloilo Fifth District Representative Niel C. Tupas, Jr., Barotac Viejo Mayor Niel C. Tupas, III, DPWH Assistant Regional Director Lea N. Delfinado and Iloilo 3rd District Engineer George O. Suy.
Other projects completed by the District includes concreting of Barotac Viejo-Vista Alegre Road with the length of 1,220 lineal meters, concreting of Barotac Viejo-Ugasan Road with the length of 1,050 lineal meters, and concreting of San Lucas-La Fortuna-California Farm-to-Market Road.
These projects contribute to speedy delivery of farm products, thus augmenting the income of the farmers and uplifting their standard of living.
