The Department of Public Works and Highways-Iloilo City District Engineering Office (ICDEO) has undertaken various maintenance activities along major thoroughfares in the city of Iloilo in anticipation of the 2015 Iloilo Dinagyang Festival celebration.
According to District Engineer Rodney A. Gustilo, maintenance personnel of the ICDEO were deployed to conduct various activities such as repainting of bridges along major thoroughfares in the city, painting of curb of the center island, installation of road markings along major roads such as Iloilo-Jaro Diversion Road, Iloilo-Antique Road (Gen. Luna section) and other major roads within the city proper
Informational and directional signs including traffic advisories were also installed in places deemed necessary.
Engr. Gustilo said that a “Motorists Assistance Centers” will be set-up to provide motorists as well as commuters prompt and reliable assistance on normal and emergency situations.
