The Department of Public Works and Highways, Iloilo First District Engineering Office conducted several Pre-construction activities of various projects to be implemented in the southern part of Iloilo province.
Congressman Richard Garin of Iloilo First Legislative District was invited to give insights and discuss his concerns regarding various projects to be implemented in the district.
Also, Municipal Mayors from different Local Government Units in the southern part of Iloilo, as well as Barangay Officials and stakeholders were invited to give them a chance to air their concerns and issues on the projects.
Being the recipients of the said projects, District Engineer Cecil C. Caligan believed that these people should be involved in the project implementation process, particularly from the very start of construction, so as to eliminate future problems and will make the implementation of the projects fast and smooth.
Pre-construction activities were conducted by the DPWH to serve as a venue where people’s concerns are heard, future problems that may arise are discussed and given solutions.
