
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office 6 recently held a workshop on Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) which provides the guidelines in the establishment and implementation of a performance-based incentive system for government employees.
With the purpose of linking individual performance with the DPWH mission, vision and strategic goals, SPMS was established by DPWH under Department Order No. 32, Series of 2014, pursuant to the provisions of Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular No. 6, s 2012.
Chief Personnel Specialist Jocelyn L. Lataquin of the Management Services Division of the Civil Service Commission 6 served as the resource person in the said workshop which was held February 12-13. The 2-day workshop was spearheaded by Assistant Regional Director Lea N. Delfinado and participated by a total of 140 personnel composed of the region’s Division Chiefs and Assistant District Engineers along with their section chiefs. Also present in the 2-day workshop were District Engineer Gerald A. Pacanan of Antique DEO and District Engineer Edmund V. Opinion of Iloilo 4th DEO.
