
Regional Director Wenceslao M. Leaño, Jr. of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office VI led the series of oath-taking of the 37 new Engineer II employees who will join the workforce of the Regional and District Engineering Offices (DEOs) in DPWH Western Visayas, including the DEOs that are now under the newly created Negros Island Region (NIR).
The appointments of the engineers were signed by the Regional Director in March. The new employees include two engineers from the Regional Office; three engineers from Aklan, Capiz Second DEO, Guimaras and Iloilo First DEOs; five from Capiz First DEO; and one from Iloilo Fourth DEO. New appointees assigned in Negros Occidental are composed of four engineers from First DEO; three from Second DEO; five from Third DEO; three from Fourth DEO; and two from Bacolod City DEO.
On the other hand, the appointment of one Engineer II position for Negros Occidental Fourth DEO was waived by the recommended applicant.
Engineer II positions are part of the newly created items to add the working force of DPWH.
