District Information Officers (DIOs) of the five (5) District Engineering Offices (DEOs) of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region VI were awarded as Best Performing District Information Offices during the Year-end Meeting of the Regional and District Public Information Officers, spearheaded by Regional Public Information Officer, Ms. Vivian C. Tan, December 14, 2018 at the Regional Office.
The awardees were Aklan DEO, Iloilo 3rd DEO, Iloilo 4th DEO, Negros Occidental 1st DEO, and Negros Occidental 3rd DEO in recognition of their outstanding accomplishment in the Citizen’s Feedback Management by resolving 100% of all customer feedbacks and effective public information dissemination through press releases. Certificates were given by Ms. Tan and OIC-Chief of Planning and Design Division Marilou G. Zamora, in behalf of Regional Director Wenceslao M. Leaño, Jr.
In addition, two (2) DEOs were given a Certificate of Appreciation for their efforts in the publication of their official newsletters which contain relevant information on DPWH programs, project and activities. Said DEOs were Iloilo 3rd for their “Quinto Builders Bulletin” and Negros Occidental 3rd for their “C.H.I.C.K.S. Infra Gazette.”
Said year-end meeting focused on the reports and other requirements for equipment for District Information Offices, a refresher on news writing, Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Government Services Act, Stakeholders Engagement, Executive Order No. 56 (Emergency 911), a review on Freedom of Information and updates on Customer Satisfaction Survey and Social Media Policy
The Regional Public Affairs and Information Office of DPWH Region 6 recognizes the said DEOs to acknowledge the dedication and hard work for the District Information Offices led by their respective excellent District Information Officers.
