The Department of the Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a multi-purpose building that will benefit hundreds of junior and senior high school students at the Cauayan National High School in Poblacion, Cauayan, Province of Negros Occidental.

The P2-million project was implemented by DPWH-Negros Occidental 3rd District, funded under the FY 2018 Outside Infrastructure Program to provide students an additional venue for recreation and learning.

In addition, DPWH will also build four (4) more building projects in the same school, composed of a two (2) storey Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Laboratory building, a three (3) Storey Regular Workshop building, and two double-storey school buildings with six (6) classrooms each at Cauayan National High School.

“We want to contribute in the realization of each students’ full potential by constructing multi-purpose buildings which would serve as a venue for both recreational and school activities,” said Engineer Alunan.
