Director Wenceslao M. Leano, Jr. of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office 6 and Iloilo City District Engineer Rodney A. Gustilo, together with OIC-Assistant District Engineer Gerardo Parra, inspected various ongoing projects implemented by the Iloilo City District Engineering Office (ICDEO).
During the inspection, Leano instructed Gustilo to fast-track the implementation of the projects in order to have it completed on or before the scheduled completion.
Once completed, the upgraded and widened roads would lessen traffic congestion as well as provide faster and more convenient transportation of goods and services, while the construction of flood control and drainage structures aims to address the flooding in the city.
DPWH is appealing for the understanding of the public with the inconvenience brought by the construction works and assured that eventually these projects would be for their benefit.
