Four (4) new school buildings in Concepcion, Iloilo inaugurated

Four (4) school building projects in Concepcion, Iloilo were inaugurated recently by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Iloilo Third District Engineering Office along with the Local Government Unit (LGU) and officials of the schools where the buildings are constructed.

In his report to DPWH Region 6 Director Wenceslao Leaño, District Engineer George O. Suy said that the completed projects include two 2-Storey 6-classroom school building at Roberto H. Tirol High School and two 2-Storey 6-classroom building at Loong National High School completed in the amount of P17.003 million and P14.195 million, respectively.

The newly constructed buildings at Tirol High School would cater the needs for facilities considering the growing number of students which is already about 2,300 this academic year. Also, additional classrooms would facilitate effective teaching because of conducive learning environment.

On the other hand, the two school building projects at Loong National High School would provide adequate classrooms to some 1,000 students particularly the junior and senior high school students.

Prior to the construction of the new schoolbuilding, some of the classes are held under the trees and improvised tents.
