A citation from Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) was given to the Department of Public Works and Highways for being one (1) of the four (4) top gender responsive agencies in the Search for the Most Outstanding Gender Responsive Agency under GADtimpala 2013 (Gender and Development Transformation and Institutionalization through Mainstreaming of Programs, Advocacies, Linkages and Actions) in upholding rights of women and gender mainstreaming efforts particularly in developing gender-responsive tools for infrastructure projects. Handing over the award to DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson together with DPWH Assistant Secretary and Committee on Gender and Development (COGAD) Chairperson Maria Catalina E. Cabral is PCW Executive Director Emmeline L. Versoza.
